Low Fat Biscotti Ingredients
3 1/2 cupsflour
1 cupsugar
2/3 cupapplesauce
2eggs
1egg white
2 tspbaking powder
1 tspalmond extract
1/2 cupalmonds, finely chopped
pinchsalt
Low Fat Biscotti Directions
Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl. Set aside. Whisk together eggs, sugar, applesauce and almond extract. Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Fold in almonds.
Shape dough into a half-moon shape on a cookie sheet. Bake for 25-35 minutes until lightly browned. Cool for 15 minutes.
Cut loaf into 1 inch slices and lay on cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes more, turning once.
